During the pandemic many artists suffered physically, financially , emotionally and creatively along with the world’s population. There is a uniqueness to the suffering of artists in that once the initial trauma subsides there is a compulsion to describe the experience creatively.
Below I have saved a few watercolor sketches which helped not only to document my experience but finally to describe the emotional toll . Happily, in January , I was able to exhibit in an in-person show in Atlantic Highlands “Art in the Age of Covid” it was a validating experience to participate and see the work of many artists which was dramatically influenced by the range of experiences during this difficult year.
